Probably yes.
Rubber bands, the small elastic bands that patients hook onto their braces, are used to correct most bite issues. So if you have an overbite, an underbite, or your teeth just aren’t fitting together “like a zipper”, wearing the rubber bands will connect the top teeth to the bottom teeth and line them up.
For some people, rubber bands are a very important part of treatment and we use them for many months. For other people, your bite is pretty good and we might just use them for finishing the last little bite details. The most important thing about rubber bands is wearing them! They need to be worn 24 hours per day to be effective!
Rubber bands are something that are prescribed specifically for each patient. So give us a call today at (707) 938 – 5255 and we can talk about how big of a part of your treatment the bands might be!
