What is the purpose of an observation/recall appointment?

As silly as it sounds, the main purpose of a recall appointment is counting teeth! These recall appointments should be quick-and-easy checks to make sure that all the teeth are falling out and growing in as we’d expect.

There are many reasons that teeth can get off-track in their eruption – the adult tooth is crooked, or impacted, or missing, for example. We want to catch those problems ASAP! We also want to make sure that no new bite problems or tongue habits are developing as you grow.

Dr. Laurent likes to check in with patients every six months to make sure that things are progressing normally. And if they are – we’ll see you in six more months! If we haven’t counted your teeth yet, give us a call at (707) 938 – 5255 today!
